First attempt at blogging

This winter has been a long one!! Since purchasing a new 5th Wheel late last summer, we are all looking forward to getting out in a couple more months. Logan and Aiden love getting packed up and hitting the road in search of new adventures.

Last year was very hectic for us. After buying the RV in August, I determined that the ole Ford didn't have enough poop to pull the new land yacht. After trying to convince myself we'd be okay, I decided it would be best to upgrade to a truck that was more suited to manage the weight of the trailer.

A couple of days before flying to Kellogg ID to purchase the new truck we had a small kitchen fire. Even though it was contained to the stove it produced enough smoke damage to displace us from the house for a month. I left to go pick up the truck while Lolly worked with the insurance company to begin the clean up and repair of the house. Needless to say we didn't get that much use out of the RV before we had to winterize it.

We did spend a couple nights at the Palmer State Fair, which everyone really enjoyed. We were able to comfortably stay late to watch the fireworks without dealing with the chronic Southcentral AK traffic issues. We spent Labor Day weekend in Seward at Stoney Creek. I was really impressed with their facilities and the kids liked throwing rocks in the creek.

We picked up a 12 foot inflatable last year and Logan has been slaying the fish ever since. So far we have only used it on the lakes around Anchorage. Now that we have the trailer, I'm sure we'll get some more use out of it. Logan could fish all day long if you would let him. As long as he has enough wax or meal worms he is set.

Everyone is doing great. The boys are getting big and are playing well with each other, for the most part. The days are getting noticeably longer and you can almost feel the heat from the sunlight.

We'll see if this works and I'll try to post more later.
